Cost

Our meal prep service is $60/hour plus HST. The minimum time is 3.5 hours, the average session lasts 4-5 hours based on the dishes chosen. These dishes can include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack/dessert options; you can let us know how we can help.

Our weekly meal prep service is an hourly rate depending on service day with a 3.5 hour minimum with no shopping, 4 hours with shopping included, and a $17 travel fee to cover your chef’s transportation. Here’s the pricing depending on day of the week:

Sunday- $65/hr plus HST

Monday/Tuesday-$78/hr plus HST

Wednesday-$65/hr plus HST

Thursday/Friday-$60/hr plus HST

Maeven Chef’s meal prep service is a weekly standing appointment with one of our personal chefs. Before starting, you’ll fill out a survey with questions about what your family likes to eat and any goals you may have that we can help with (maybe getting your five year old to eat broccoli?). We create personalized menu recommendations that you can choose from and book your first session. Read more over here!

Something magical can happen over a dinner table, especially when we are doing the cooking. Book us to help with your party; we will take care of the shopping, cooking, serving, and cleanup! Menus are customized to each event and we can add on decor, flowers, beverage pairings, and rentals to bring the magic. Read more over here!

Maeven Chef is based in Port Credit, Mississauga and services Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington. Please contact us if you are outside of these zones and interested in our services.

The average session is 4-5 hours and includes menu selection, grocery shopping time, cooking, and cleanup. The grocery cost is additional; we can shop wherever you prefer and keep within a comfortable budget for your family.

Our dinner party service is $100/hour for a chef, who will assist with menu selection, grocery shopping, cooking, serving, and cleanup. Groceries are in addition, as well as travel cost. We can add on more cooks, servers, or bartenders depending on the size of the event (Generally more than 10 guests require extra help). We can help with tablescapes, beverage pairings, live music, and florals as well. The total cost is dependent on the menu complexity and ingredients but can be customized to fit your budget.

Get in touch and we can work together to choose dishes that will fit your requirements. We can provide ingredient lists and select groceries to your preferences (like organic, gluten free, etc…) and include any favourite recipes in your menu. Our standard recipes can accommodate restrictions such as vegetarian, gluten free, nut allergy, dairy free. outside of these common cases, Maeven Chef can cook for any special diet through our Maeven Method program where our in-house nutritionist can customize recipes based on your nutrition needs and personal preferences.

She prepared several dishes including lamb tagine and tahdig (Persian crispy rice). The food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed the experience. Before she swooped in like an angel and saved us, we had been relying on takeout unfortunately. Chef Joanna comes weekly to make us enough food for lunches and dinners. We choose the dishes we want and she does the shopping and prepares the food in a morning.  We come home from a long day of work and simply need to heat up a dish. She gives us instructions on how to warm everything up and we are ready for dinner in 15-20min. We love Chef Joanna she is amazing and her food is amazing!!! With a young kid and busy careers, grocery shopping and cooking started to feel like drudgery. Now every week Chef Joanna provides us new menu choices and is also willing to cook anything we've asked of her. The food is amazing! She responded so well to requests such as helping us clear some of our pantry so we could minimize food waste, or cooking for 2 weeks all vegan and gluten free when my mom was visiting. I used to think having a private chef to help with meal prep would be crazy expensive but Marijke and her team have delivered an AMAZING service for my wife and I for less than I thought! My wife and I self employed and have a new baby at home, and I can honestly say that without Maeven chefs we’d be wasting our money eating sub par quality food through Uber eats! We had Chef Marijke come to my brother & sister-in-law's home to cook a meal for my mom's 60th birthday on Saturday.  She prepared a 3-course meal to our liking - a salad, lamb with potatoes & brussel sprouts and chocolate cake.  Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible!  Best of all, the birthday girl loved the surprise!
